Sentinel reads box-labelled paper forms in bulk — batches of tens of thousands — and writes every answer to your target structure. This page lists what is ready today and what we add per project.
Measured throughput

Measured on our own servers in Germany. At that rate a batch of 30,000 pages takes about 22 hours.

Document types
Pages arrive faxed, scanned, photographed or born digital. Sentinel expects that, and marks a field as unreadable when the page is too poor to read it.
Low resolution, noise and lost lines. A field that cannot be read is marked, never guessed.
Flatbed and feeder scans, including skewed and slightly rotated pages.
Pages photographed by hand, with curl and perspective.
Forms filled on screen or printed to PDF.
One page per document, uploaded one by one or as a batch.
Multi-page PDF and TIFF files, or one folder per document inside a ZIP archive.
File formats
Upload what your scanners and fax servers already produce. Take the result in the format your analysis tools read.
Every export carries four parts: the records, the codebook, the provenance and the audit trail.
